Agro Chem recognized a need for an electronics department in the early 1990’s. At that time, the electronics consisted of flow control products and external light bars mounted on hoods of sprayers. We could see at that time that customers were needing more hands on assistance with installing and servicing these products.
Today, our electronics department has transformed into a Precision Ag Department.
The Precision Ag Department consists of three full time Precision Ag specialists in our Wabash location and two full time Precision Ag specialists in our Ohio location. We are still installing and servicing the products we had in the 1990’s plus a broader variety of GPS equipment. They consist of internal and external lightbars, autosteer equipment (hydraulic and steering wheel drive), boom height control, automatic boom shutoff, variable rate technology, direct chemical injection systems, and RTK application equipment.
